VACCINATIONS
Vaccinations now available at Napier Balmoral Pharmacy administered by our friendly team include:
Boostrix (Tetanus, Diphtheria & Whooping Cough vaccine)
Priorix ( Measles, Mumps & Rebella MMR vaccine)
Bexsero ( Meningococcal B vaccine)
MenQuadfi ( Meningococcal ACWY vaccine)
Gardasil ( Human papillomavirus HPV vaccine)
Shingrix ( Varicella zoster, shingles vaccine)
Comirnaty (Covid 19 vaccine)
Boostrix vaccine is approved to eligible patients, including pregnant women from 16 weeks (ideally in the second trimester), people needing a tetanus booster due to a wound, some patients aged 45+ and everyone over 65 years.
Meningococcal vaccines are both approved to be given to patients over 16 years and Gardasil 9 (HPV) vaccine is fully funded for everyone aged 9 to under 27 years in New Zealand. Both required doses of Gardasil 9 ( HPV) are free.
Shingrix Vaccine is approved for those turning 65. Both required doses are free, provided you receive your first dose while you are 65. You can receive the second dose anytime after turning 66, as long as the first dose was administered at age 65.
Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) vaccine is fully funded in New Zealand for everyone under 18 years old and for any adult eligible for publicly funded healthcare.
Covid-19 vaccine is free and voluntary for everyone aged 5 and older.
If you are not eligible for funded vaccines, you can still get your vaccine though Napier Balmoral Pharmacy for a Fee.
